These are mechs like the falconer, fast heavy mediums like the griffin, light mediums like the p-hawk. All very Lyran mechs.Ģ) fast mover lances. The best mechs for this in the era you are looking at are highlanders, thunderbolts, atlas, banshee, battlemasters zeus etc. Where you take big hard hitting mechs and pound your opponent at range while advancing slowly until you are close and unloading. We also have a Lyran thread in the successor states section, say hi.įor Lyran it is my belief that there are 3 types of play.ġ) traditional wall of steel. If you are fighting the Clans in a later year I'm not as much help. None of the Mechs I selected have any real weakness (like the Commando's lack of armor) so it's a good place to start. The Hatchetman is the least improved but still good. The T-bolt is one of the best IS mechs in 3050, the Banshee is amazing, and the P-Hawk adds another large laser. i'm not sure how you are doing the tech upgrades, but they are all these mechs are improved with them. This load out gives you great long range firepower (every Mech has at least a 1 weapon going to 15 hexes which you will need if going up against the Clans), good armor, and decent movement (The Banshee is a 3/5 but everyone else is 4/6 or better). It never hurts to have a 6/9/6 mover in you team. The Hatchetman is Lyran and is a good supporting mech.
#Battletech flashpoint tonnage limit plus
The armor value is about as high as it gets, plus the wide selection of weapons gives you tons of options. Even without tech upgrades these guys operate with "Beast Mode On" and you will not regret them. If you're starting in 3050 grab a Thunderbolt, a Banshee-S. You say "the Clan Invasion era" Can you narrow that down? 3050 is a different set of mechs and tech then 3055.
